About

The Start Something New Cohort, is a team of students on campus working together to reach different parts of campus that are not currently being reached. This is great team to be apart of for anyone in Intervarsity, especially if you are a general member of the fellowship.

Requirements

No experience is necessary, and you don't need to be an Intervarsity Leader to do this. Each person will need to apply to be part of this cohort. Each person will create a lesson plan for the 6-weeks that will be approved by staff.

  • 6 week study on the parables of Jesus
  • Book Study on Crazy Love
  • Bible Study for Engineering Majors
  • Bible Study for Marching Band Students
  • Bible Study for Water Polo Players

Time Commitment

Time Commitment is 7 weeks. You would spend 1 week prepping and 6 weeks leading a Small Group Bible Study.  You will meet 1 hour a week as a team together for support and prayer. You will also lead your gathering weekly. Small Group Bible Studies will launch in the Fall. We will have a second launch in the Spring.

What will I get by being part of this cohort?

You will get a team of folks that are going to through similar things you will be going through. You will also get training and mentorship by staff for these 6 weeks.
