JANUARY JUMPSTART

 

Want to spend a weekend being transformed by studying the Bible? Then this is the conference for you! Using the manuscript bible study method developed by Paul Byer, students dig into biblical texts and study the Scripture in its original context and meaning. Along with having fun in our study groups, we want to live out the Word of God in practical ways and continue to grow in our spiritual journeys.

Date: Friday, January 19th, 5:30pm to Sunday January 21st, 2:30pm

Price: $45 per person
Super Early Bird: $40 (register by 11:59pm Jan. 10th)

Students MUST stay during the entirety of the conference. Coming and going is not permitted. 

WHAT TO BRING:
  • Bible
  • Journal
  • MARK 2 REPEATERS -- bring your Mark Manuscript from your first round of Mark Study.
  • Pens, markers, highlighters, and anything else you like to use when you do manuscript inductive study. If you don't know what manuscript inductive study is, come and find out!
  • Sleeping Bag & Pillow
  • Clothes for 2.5 days
  • Toiletries
  • Ear plugs (if you are a light sleeper)
  • Group Games

Meals and snacks will be provided :)
Studies:

Freshmen and People New to InterVarsity - Mark 1
  • A study through the first half of the Gospel of Mark
  • This will start at January Jumpstart and continue weekly through the rest of the semester.

Sophomores - Mark 2 Repeaters
  • A second pass through the second half of the Gospel of Mark, this time from a different lens.

Juniors - Exodus
  • A study through the first 4 chapters of Exodus

Seniors - Senior Seminar
  • Start getting equipped for life and faith after college!
