Frequently Asked Questions

I am new to InterVarsity. Will I be able to put in my deposit of $66 and still lock-in the $100 special?
Yes!

I can't pay money right now, but I filled out the registration form. Do I still get the discount?
No. You need to put some money down in order to lock in your price. If you filled out our registration form but did not pay a deposit, you will not get any of the special registration prices until you put money down. If you can't pay the full amount, continue reading the question below for next steps.

I want to get the $100 special, but I can't afford the $75 deposit right now. What do I do?
Please contact Sarah Masai.

I'm not a Christian. Can I still go?
Fall Conference is a safe place for everyone to check out faith. You are more than welcome to come.

I'm can't afford to go, but I really want to. What should I do?
We never want money to be a barrier for folks going. Please fill out our scholarship application (link above) - we are able to give grant based scholarships as well as loans that can help you pay off your balance. We have never turned down people because they couldn't afford to go. Please let us know what your actual need is. Please also do your best to save throughout the year (don't eat out as much, etc.). We will also have fundraisers and work-projects throughout the semester to help raise money so folks can go. Be sure to keep an out for this!

I'm an upperclassmen and involved in InterVarsity. However, I've never been to Fall Conference before. Do I still qualify for the $100 special?
No, we are reserving the $100 special for those who have never been part of our organization before. If you aren't able to pay the conference in full, please complete a scholarship application.

I paid my deposit and found out that I cannot go anymore. What should I do? Can I get a refund?
You can get a refund for everything except the $66 deposit. The $66 deposit is non-refundable. The $66 deposit is also non-transferable. If you paid less than $66 to lock-in your price and you cannot attend anymore, there is still a $66 cancellation fee.

Who's allowed to apply for scholarships? Does it matter what time I apply?
Anyone can apply. It doesn't matter what time you apply, just do it before the deadline.

Will there be wifi or cell phone reception?

There will be no wifi. Cell phone reception will be limited, so please plan accordingly. If you have to do work, please download what you need.

Are meals provided?
Meals are provided from Saturday to Sunday. Please bring your own dinner on Friday night. However, do not stop for food - we want to get to the camp ASAP for safety reasons.

Can I transfer my registration fee to someone else?
Unfortunately, your registration is non-transferrable. If for some reason you are no longer able to join us, you will still be responsible for the $66 non-refundable cancellation fee.

How do I get there?
Check your emails in the week leading up to the conference for details.

What do I bring?

Dinner for Friday night, Sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, toiletries (hot showers and bathroom facilities are available at camp), towel, Bible (if you have one), notebook, pen, camera, and warm clothes (it can get cool at night), games. There will be a book table, so be sure to bring some money if you want to buy anything.

Can I arrive late or leave early?

For safety reasons, we are limiting the amount of late cars that go to the conference. There will only be limited available. If you have a class or work, please try to plan ahead and asked to be excused. You can request to leave early, but it's not guaranteed because of the limited number of cars and rides available.

Excusable reasons to arrive late or leave early: weddings, funerals, graduations, unchangeable flight arrangements, work or class that can’t be excused.

Inexcusable reasons to arrive late or leave early: Tired, too much homework, group project meeting, concert showing, another student org meeting, etc.

Please email intervarsitytcf@gmail.com to discuss alternate transportation times. There is no discount for arriving late or leaving early.
